It’s 1922 and you’re invited to town’s best kept-secret – Solanio’s Swinging Speakeasy – for a very special event: a three course meal and the auction of the infamous Shakespeare Solitaire.
This priceless diamond is rumoured to have been gifted to Wiliam Shakespeare by Queen Elizabeth I herself… but the jewel also carries with it a curse.. everyone of its owners has died in mysterious circumstances!
Just two weeks’ ago, the body of the Solitaire’s most recent owner – renowned actor Henry Lear - was discovered at a Guildford auction house. Tonight, his only daughter is seeking to sell it and rid the family of its terrible curse. But will Mr Lear’s death be the end, or is it just the beginning?

Bookings with be sat at tables of eight. If you wish to sit with friends who have booked please do let us know their names at least one week prior. There is no obligatory audience participation as such. There is a certain amount of interaction with the characters; as they visit tables audience members can ask questions of the suspects. There’s no actual ‘on stage’ interaction, so no audience member is required to ‘get on stage’; the participation is more of asking questions if an audience member wishes to, or just sitting back and watching all go on around you.
