For Earth’s Sake at Great Green Barn Theatre presents The Essence of Audrey
The Life Story of Audrey Hepburn Written & Performed by Helen Anker Directed by Michael Vivian
"The most elegant, exquisite, beautifully realised show. It's fascinating... interesting... moving. It has all her career, and more than that it really takes you inside the soul of another human being. Fantastic. Don't miss it." Dame Maureen Lipman
Audrey Hepburn, one of the world's most beloved icons invites us to a private viewing of her film memorabilia at her home in Switzerland, prior to the items being auctioned in aid of UNICEF. As Audrey takes us through the items, she shares her successes and failures, her triumphs and disappointments, confronting her anxieties and fears with joy and laughter, and finding the truth she's never been able to voice before. Following the performance Vanessa Ford will interview Helen Anker about her life, and how she came to write and perform this fabulous play.
"It's the most wonderful play. I feel like I've spent the afternoon with Audrey Hepburn". Janie Dee
