GREAT GREEN BARN THEATRE Saturday 12 October 2024, 7.30pm
Cheryl Knight takes on the role of one of the greatest female entertainers of the twentieth century, inimitable Joyce Grenfell, and 'absolutely captures her spirit’ (Everything Theatre) in this recreation of one of Joyce Grenfell’s stage shows.

Woven between the well-known songs and monologues are some of Joyce’s more delicate and poignant pieces, as well as some rare and exclusive material. She was loved the world over for her hilarious and beautifully observed monologues and songs, as well as numerous film, television and radio appearances. Her legacy continued through the work of Victoria Wood, who cited her as being a great influence, as well as an array of female comedians including Miranda Hart.
First conceived in honour of her centenary year and playing to sell-out audiences at the Edinburgh Festival, this professional revue has been delighting audiences ever since. This gem of nostalgia is truly a labour of love, bringing back to life an extraordinary entertainer. The Great Green Barn CIC will present its own events, whilst also being available for hire by organisations and individuals who follow an eco-sustainable approach.
The Great Green Barn’s Autumn season is now on sale with an eclectic mix of cookery classes, live theatre, games’ nights, afternoon teas and cabaret, with workshops and local organisations’ meetings and events soon to be added.
