Calling Creative Writers
The Great Green Barn is trialling a series of creative writing meet-ups hosted by Mark Insoll.
Whether it takes the form of a short story, memoir, poem, comedy sketch, essay, play or novel, creative writing allows us to express our thoughts, experiences and emotions in unique and personal ways. And whilst being published may be the dream, a rewarding writing experience doesn’t necessitate seeing your name in print. Meeting with other writers in a friendly and supportive environment can be fun, thought-provoking and motivating.
Comprising a two-hour session at 10am each Wednesday, our aim is to create an opportunity for people who already write for pleasure to read out and discuss samples of their work with other committed writers. Each participant's first session is complimentary so you can determine whether this series of meet-ups is for you.
Mark hopes that his experience as a corporate and educational filmmaker, writing and working with a wide variety of topics and treatments, will provide a fresh approach to dealing with that peculiar itch that only writing seems to soothe.
